Total Water Solutions has worked with British Steel as a trusted strategic partner for over 5 years. Our team has undertaken various projects that range from Main rehabilitation programs and strategic infrastructure projects, to site wide AMR for all utilities.
We first worked with British Steel on smaller one-off projects, including repairs and leak detection to make immediate cost savings. As the TWS team developed a deeper understanding of British Steel’s business and objectives, they were able to identify a longer-term need to ensure the sustainability of the company’s water system.
Total Water Solutions’ team worked closely with British Steel to develop a strategic program of works that would deliver ongoing benefits to their business performance. This included installing new mains and system furniture and new pipework insertion schemes, as well as sophisticated measurement of site utilities via our Automated Meter Reading (AMR) system.
Over time, the project progressed into more ambitious territory, including new technology planning to identify innovations and new approaches which could further improve performance. Throughout our partnership, the team have also provided ongoing consultancy, support and advice to support British Steel to deliver against their objectives, and to challenge the status quo where appropriate.
