Getting Started with Industrial Waste Disposal

Check the Permit

Before sending any waste, confirm that your waste type and EWC code are covered under the Bran Sands permit in the Helpful Resources section below

Submit a Sample (for New Waste Streams)

For any waste stream not previously approved:

• Send a 1-litre representative sample
• Include a completed Waste Declaration Form
• If available, attach the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for hazardous waste
• Address to:

We will test the sample and notify you whether it meets our internal acceptance criteria. If it does not, we’ll provide an advisory note and suggest alternative disposal options.

Receive Your Waste Stream Code

• If approved you’ll receive a unique Waste Stream Code
• We’ll confirm the price, waste specification, and booking requirements

Book Your Delivery Slot

• Use the Waste Stream Code and full waste description
• Request your booking at least 48 hours in advance of your preferred slot

Site Arrival & Offloading Process

• You or your operators will need to be inducted prior to the visit, please click here for the induction
• Report to the weighbridge for initial weighing.
• Drive to the reception point as directed where NWL staff will assist with offloading
• Exit via the weighbridge for final weighing

Billing

We will issue bills for waste deliveries twice a month.

Tendering or Bidding for Contracts

If you are bidding for a tender and wish to use Bran Sands as the treatment facility, we understand that you may not have a sample or may have limited information at that stage.  In this case, please speak to our Business Development Team, who will assist you with the process and provide the necessary support.
